Polydefkis Asonitis

Polydefkis Asonitis was born in 1956 in Ioannina. He studied Economics, Pedagogy and Photography. He holds a PhD in Semiology of Art and a postgraduate degree from the Department of Art Sciences of the School of Fine Arts of Ioannina. He taught photography at the «Higher Technological Educational Institution of Athens» and at the «Public Vocational Training Institution of Epirus». He held many photo exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He is a permanent contributor in the in the Greek photographic magazine: “PHOTOGRAPHER”. He has published three photo albums entitled: “Childhood Landscapes”, “Kalliepeia” and “The charcoal burners of Pindos”. He is a founding member of the photography groups: “Fotorasi” and “Photographers”.
