Cecilia Bengolea is an Argentine artist based in France working across performance, video, and sculpture. Her work in progress Return to Bog Walk (2025-2026) at Biennale 9 assembles dance, performance, and interviews made since 2017, exploring Jamaican dancehall as a form of refugia — a space of survival, transformation, and collective memory. The work features Jamaican dancehall teams Black Eagle and Overload Skankaz, with movement carrying the memory of land, community, and culture.
